كنا نرى كل يوم في عيادة جراحة الأطفال حالات متكررة من الإمساك المزمن، والشروخ الشرجية، وصعوبات التحكم في الإخراج. كانت هذه الحالات تحتاج متابعة دقيقة ومستمرة — لكن الأدوات المتاحة لم تكن كافية.
كنا نحتاج من الأم أن تصف لنا التغذية اليومية، وكمية السوائل، والأيام التي حدث فيها تسريب أو اتساخ للملابس الداخلية، وأوقاتها بالضبط. كنا نحتاج تقويماً شهرياً حقيقياً يعكس ما يعيشه الطفل يومياً — وليس ما تتذكره الأم في لحظة الزيارة.
في السابق، كنا نعطي الأم ورقة مرسوماً عليها 30 يوماً، ونطلب منها أن تسجّل كل شيء بالقلم. كانت تعود بورقة ممزقة، أو منسية في الحقيبة، أو فارغة تماماً.
أدركنا أن المشكلة ليست في الأم — بل في الأداة. الأم مشغولة، ومرهقة، وتحمل طفلاً وتدير منزلاً. ما تحتاجه هو شيء بسيط، سريع، وموجود دائماً في يدها.
من هنا وُلدت فكرة حِنا. بدأنا بمشكلة الإمساك لأننا عشناها يومياً في غرفة العمليات وفي العيادة. ثم توسّعنا لتغطية التغذية الشاملة، ومتابعة النمو، والأدوية، والمواعيد الطبية. ورأينا أن التطبيق قادر على أن يكون أكثر من ذلك — منصة متكاملة لصحة الطفل منذ الولادة حتى سن المدرسة.
الهدف لم يتغير: أن يصل الطبيب إلى بيانات حقيقية، وأن تشعر الأم بأنها ليست وحدها في هذه الرحلة.
Every day in the pediatric surgery clinic, we saw recurring cases of chronic constipation, anal fissures, and difficulties with bowel control. These cases required precise, continuous follow-up — but the available tools were simply not enough.
We needed mothers to describe their child's daily nutrition, fluid intake, and the exact days and times of any soiling or accidents. We needed a real monthly calendar reflecting what the child actually experienced daily — not what the mother could recall during a brief clinic visit.
In the past, we would hand mothers a paper with 30 days drawn on it and ask them to write everything down. They would return with a torn page, one forgotten in a bag, or one left completely blank.
We realized the problem was not with the mother — it was with the tool. Mothers are busy, exhausted, caring for a child while managing a household. What they need is something simple, fast, and always in their hands.
That is where the idea for Hina was born. We started with constipation because we lived it daily in the operating room and clinic. Then we expanded to cover comprehensive nutrition, growth tracking, medications, and medical appointments. We saw that the app could be much more — a complete platform for child health from birth to school age.
The goal has never changed: to give doctors access to real data, and to make every mother feel she is not alone on this journey.
